On Sunday, July 31, CCCC will be sending a team to Tegucigalpa, Honduras, for a week of teaming with Hope 4 Honduras to bring the gospel to the people of Mogote, a mountainside community high above the Honduran capital.
The group this year includes Laura Little, Heather Van Antwerp, Krissy Yeager, Cathy Lynskey, Windy Wike, Jana Strickland, Shirley and David Pratt, Daniel and Melissa Jones, Michael Farrar, Tanya McAllister, Paul, Collette, Kristin, and Emily Berthiaume, Tricia Britt, Ryan Lehtinen, and Paige Young. They will spend the week building a house, leading women’s and children’s bible classes, feeding the hungry, assisting with the clinic, helping with discipleship classes, and much more.
If you would like to offer prayer support to the team, click here to download a day by day prayer list for the week.
Regular updates will be sent in to the Go Site all week, so keep checking in to witness how God is moving through this amazing team while they are in Honduras!
We dropped them off at the airport about 7:30 am; they should be safely in the air by now, expecting to land about 11:07 am Honduras time (12:07 League City time). Our prayers are with them.
The entire group will be in my prayers, for safety and success.
I have never posted to a blog before so not sure how this works. Anxious to know how things are going and how my sister and brother-in-law Shriley and David are doing.
To Fay – not sure if you saw it, but look at the posts to the right; there is one titled Go Honduras team is on the Ground — click on that and you can see how Sunday went. Still waiting for news of Monday and Tuesday; but I did hear from daughter on Facebook a little while ago and she said it is amazing there.
Thinking of all of you as you serve the Lord.
Elaine, thanks, I read the post about Sunday. I have been checking back and was beginning to think I was looking in the wrong place. They have probably been too busy with other things to be able to get to this. I’ll keep checking. It is good you were able to hear from your daughter.
