Hey everyone!

Sorry it’s been so long since I’ve written. The past few months have been so awesome. There has been so much work and changes going on with the mission work here in L’viv. One of the coolest things is that we finally found a name for the church we are partnering with, Trinity Church.

As most of you have heard, Trinity Church was officially blessed by Central Baptist (the mother church). It was very exciting and made the church plant official. So, as of now, Trinity is meeting in Hope School, a private school in the Okean area. As the weeks have gone by, I have had the privilege to see the church grow and prosper. It has been so cool seeing more people come and learn about Jesus.

A couple weeks ago there was a huge scare throughout L’viv, an epidemic of H1N1 flu. Many had died from it and a lot of people were hospitalized. This was a fright for many, it caused the schools to shut down for a few weeks and most people didn’t even leave their house. Most of the ministries had been affected by this. One in particular was the leadership conference we were to hold when CCCC sent a team to assist. We were worried about this important event and how it would turn out. Though many had cancelled, we still believe God brought those whom he wanted to be there. We constantly prayed for God to lead us and provide for this conference. Of course he did, and the conference was a huge success. It was so great seeing the team from CCCC! It was nice having fellowship with them and just being able to hang out.

Before all of this, in the month of October, things were normal. The ESL lessons I am leading have been very good. Some of the students have kept their interest and have continued to attend lessons. I have started to build some really great relationships with the students who are opening up more about faith and religion. It’s been really cool!

Also, for the last couple weeks of October one of my very good friends came to visit me! My friend Rika is from Germany, she lived with me and my family back in the states for about five months as a foreign exchange student. Since Germany is not too far away, she came to visit for vacation. It was a lot of fun! It was nice going around the city and getting to share the work that is being done here with her.

As the ESL semester came to an end, I have been praying that this next semester will be even more of a success and just as much fun! Many new ideas have come up during our leaders meetings. One of the jobs that have come my way is starting a children’s ministry within Trinity Church. Prayers would be greatly appreciated for the start-up and growth of this ministry.

Thanks everyone for your prayers and support!
