Focus on Orphans

What: CCCC and Go Ukraine hosts New Life Ministries: Focus on Orphans
Where: Clear Creek Community Church, Room 202
When: Monday May 3, 2010 from 7-8:30pm
Why:
  • - To encourage the hearts of those at CCCC to consider another very vulnerable people group in Ukraine, the current 103,000 orphans currently living in the former Soviet orphan system.
  • - To meet Americans and Ukrainian Nationals who have been serving the orphans in this 19 year old ministry, New Life Ministries! Dessert Gallery Treats and Coffee Provided!
Government statistics paint a bleak picture about Ukraine’s 103,000 orphans.

Within two years of leaving the orphanage, two-thirds of the boys will have served prison time, 60% of the girls will have at some time resorted to prostitution, and 10% will have committed suicide.

What others are Saying:

When the wall that surrounded Eastern Europe fell in the early 90s, we were besieged by groups that wanted to go to Eastern Europe. They went; they did their thing and returned to tell their stories, not so with Greg Gulley and New Life Ministries. They went, had their hearts radically changed and challenged and they are still going. Because of that their stories continue and what great stories they are, you really need to hear them, but be careful, your hearts may also get radically changed.

Had the privilege of attending the New Life presentation on May 3 and how powerful it was. Some of the heartbreaking stories of the children in a forgotten segment of the Ukrainian and Eastern European populationa were tempered with the hope that an organization like New Life Ministries brings. Stories of life change and the passion of New Life staffers was obvious. To learn more about New Life and how you can be a part of changing a young person’s life, go to http://www.nlminfo.org.
